Jesus overcomes

‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬ ESV

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

African Pastor needs our help

Pastor Daniel Byamukam, our friend and co-laborer in developing leaders in Uganda, is losing his hearing and is in need of your prayers and financial support. His inability to hear is beginning to adversely affect his ability to preach, teach, coach his leaders, hold meetings, and to counsel and shepherd his flock of believers.

Daniel is a visionary leader who God is using in a mighty way to develop leaders and plant new churches, not only in Uganda, but in South Sudan and in Kenya. As an example of the work he is doing, this past fall (2013) he planted a new church in the city of Iganga in a rented building and with little if any outside help, and in a little over a year, this new church is averaging 250-300 in their worship services and many have come to know the Lord as their Savior. He did this while also traveling to assist several other pastors in Uganda and South Sudan in their church planting efforts. As you can see, Daniel is doing a great work for our Lord and we are concerned that the ministry that God has called him to do may be severely hindered and this is why we need your help.

Daniel has had his hearing tested by a hearing specialist in Kampala and was told that his hearing will continue to get worse and that the only reasonable solution is to get hearing aids. However, they will cost $2,350 dollars (US) and Daniel cannot afford them.

We have already raised $500 dollars towards the cost of the hearing aids. This leaves us with a total of $1,850 dollars that still need to be raised. Please pray for Daniel, his ministry and his hearing. We would also ask you to help us by contributing financially, if you feel that God is leading you to do so.

You can send your check made payable to me (Fred Waggoner) at my home address which is: 4221 Forsythe Drive, Lexington, Kentucky 40514. When we receive your donation, we will send you a receipt (either in the mail or by email) for your donation. After we have received the needed funds we will wire them to Pastor Daniel via Western Union, and will also send you a note to let you know.
