What is your life’s purpose?

Knowing God’s purpose for our life is essential if we are to use our life to make a difference in this world. Jesus knew why God had sent Him – His purpose and mission – and He let nothing deter Him from accomplishing it.

“For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.” ‭‭John‬ ‭6:38‬ ‭ESV‬‬

God has a purpose and a plan for each of us. Do you know what He wants you to do with your life?

Unless the Lord builds the house

“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭127:1‬ ‭ESV‬‬

This is where America is at today. Since 1965, we have spent trillions of dollars on the “war on poverty”, yet today we have more people living on poverty than ever before. We spend more per capita on education for our children than any other country, yet our test scores continue to fall. We are the world’s richest nation, yet we have a government that is $18 trillion in debt.

How can this be? It’s because we have forsaken God. In our pride and arrogance we have shook our fist at Him and said “we’ve got this, we don’t need you.” How wrong we are! Unless, as a nation we repent and turn back to God, America is doomed to fall. It may already be too late?

What is our responsibility to warn those who do not believe?

I think this may answer the question?

“So you, son of man, I have made a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me. If I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, that wicked person shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, that person shall die in his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul.” ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭33:7-9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I will sing of your steadfast love

“But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress. O my Strength, I will sing praises to you, for you, O God, are my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭59:16-17‬ ‭ESV
